Update – Northumberland OPP Second Suspect Arrest in Shooting Investigation

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, have arrested  Kaveon Terry Marcus Symeon DANIEL, wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in Trent Hills

On September 16, 2021, at approximately 8:12 a.m., Northumberland OPP, along with Northumberland Paramedics, responded to reports of a male at a residence suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Andrew Brenton BROWN, 38 years of age, of Warkworth, succumbed to his injuries.

On November 6, 2021, a second suspect was arrested in Sudbury by members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service on unrelated charges. Members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit took custody of the accused, as a result of the arrest warrant relating to the Trent Hills homicide.

Kaveon Terry Marcus Symeon DANIEL, age 30, of Mississauga, has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder, contrary to section 240 of of the Criminal Code.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on November 12, 2021.
