Good Samaritans Vehicle Gets Hit From Behind After Stopping to Check On Driver

The vehicle of a good Samaritan who stopped to help a person was struck from behind in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

At approximately 4 p.m. emergency services responded to Community Centre Road just east of Les Davey Road in Alnwick/Haldimand Township.

A Mustang has spun out on a corner while heading east and went into a ditch.

Moments after a vehicle travelling east came along and stopped to see if the driver of the Mustang was injured.

As the driver was about to get out of his vehicle to check on the Mustang driver, he was struck from behind by another vehicle.

None of the people in the good Samaritan’s car were injured including two young children.

None of the other drivers were injured.

The investigation is continuing by Northumberland OPP.
