OJHL Governors’ Showcase Returns to Cobourg

In Editor Choice, Hockey

Twenty-one teams will play two regular season games each in Cobourg next week as the Ontario Junior Hockey League Governors’ Showcase returns to town.

Cobourg hosted the Showcase, which attracts scouts from the NHL, NCAA, U Sports and more, for a few years in the past before it moved to Buffalo, New York. The Jr. Sabres, however, are not operating this OJHL season.

The host Cobourg Cougars will take on the St. Michael’s Buzzers at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening in the Bowl arena and the North York Rangers at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the Pond.

Tickets each day, Monday to Wednesday, for the 2021 Governors’ Showcase at the Cobourg Community Centre are $20 for a day pass. Children under 12 are free.
