Cobourg Police Requesting Public’s Assistance Regarding Motor Vehicle Collision

On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 5:39 pm, Cobourg Police responded to a collision involving a single
motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Ontario Street and Elgin Street West.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a pedestrian had been struck on Ontario Street North of Elgin Street West
and was subsequently airlifted to hospital in Toronto and is currently listed in stable, non-life-threatening
condition at this time. Occupants of the motor vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of
the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are requesting any residents who live in the area or were present around the time of the collision to
check their security cameras or dash cameras in the event it may have been captured on video.
