In Local, Police Blotter

A woman who is currently facing an impaired driving charge from May was handed a number of tickets on Monday, July 19, 2021 after she was found behind the wheel again – and again.

Shortly before noon, the woman was charged by Cobourg Police with driving with no license, fail to surrender insurance card and disobey sign.

The vehicle was parked, and picked up later by another person.

At approximately 6 p.m. a Cobourg Police officer noticed the woman behind the steering wheel in a private driveway.

The officer cautioned the woman about driving.

But less than an hour later, the officer stopped the woman driving a vehicle on Chapel Street at College Street.

The woman was charged with driving while under suspension and possession of a controlled substance.

As she was walking back to her residence, the vehicle was towed from the scene.
