Peterborough County OPP – Serious Collision Closes Highway 28 in Woodview

(NORTH KAWARTHA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews are currently on scene at a serious collision which occurred at approximately 10:30am on Highway 28 near Butler Drive.

A motorcycle travelling southbound on Highway 28 was involved in a collision with two vehicles travelling northbound. The driver of the motorcycle has been transported to a Toronto area hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Highway 28 is currently closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours will be in place on Highway 28 at Northeys Bay Road and Mo unt Julian Viamede Road. The closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
