One Person Taken to Peterborough Hospital After Collision in Port Hope

One person was taken to hospital after a single vehicle collision in Port Hope on Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Shortly before 4 p.m. emergency services responded to the intersection of Peter Street and Mill Street for a vehicle that had struck a pole.

A vehicle travelling westbound on Peter Street mounted the curb and struck a sign before colliding with a traffic light pole.

Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services tended to the lone occupant of the vehicle until Northumberland County Paramedics arrived on scene.

The driver was transferred to Peterborough hospital with unknown injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
