Cobourg Police – Man Arrested in Relation to Domestic Assault

On May 5th, 2021, officers with the Cobourg Police Service received information regarding domestic violence
which had occurred over the preceding 10 years. As a result of the police investigation, a 27-year-old Port Hope man was arrested and charged with:

Assault bodily harm contrary to section 267(b) C.C.C;

Assault bodily harm contrary to section 267(c) C.C.C x 3;

Assault contrary to section 266 C.C.C. x 4;

Utter threats section 264.1(1) C.C.C.
The accused person’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
