In Local

Emergency services were once again dispatched to Northumberland Hills Hospital for a medical emergency on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

Senior Director/Public Affairs with Northumberland Hills Hospital Jennifer Gillard confirmed to Today’s Northumberland that emergency services including Cobourg Fire Department and Northumberland Paramedics were dispatched to the hospital at approximately 3:22 p.m.

“I’ve confirmed that an individual did run into distress in their vehicle today and apparently placed a call to 911 from the Emergency Department parking lot this afternoon.”

“First responders from Northumberland Paramedics quickly transported the individual inside the Emergency Department for care.”

Emergency services have been dispatched several times over the years for medical emergencies on hospital property.

“We wish the individual a full recovery and thank our partners at Northumberland Paramedics for their swift response,” said Gillard.
