A number of anti-lock-down protestors were once again given tickets in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

Since April 3, 2021, people have been issued $880.00 tickets under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act for protesting on Saturday’s in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg from noon until 3 p.m.

Upon receiving his third ticket in the last three consecutive weeks, Larry stated they make good wallpaper.

“I take them, I fill them in and send them back for a trial date.”

As of yet, he hasn’t received correspondence from the court.

“They’re not worth the paper they’re print on.”

Larry said the protestors are non-violent and not worthy of the amount of police each week in front of Victoria Hall to monitor them.

Larry said when it goes to court the ticket will be dismissed.

“We’re going to clog the courts up because it will take 50-years to get through them.”

“They know they are unconstitutional so what’s the point of all this?”

Larry said it’s been proven the lock-down does not stop COVID-19.

“We need to open everything up.”

“We cannot stop this virus.”

But Larry states the world has to get to herd immunity when is when a large portion of a community becomes immune to the disease making the spread of the disease from person to person unlikely.

“Separating people is not going to create herd immunity.”
