Numerous Buildings Including A Church Vandalized Overnight in Cobourg

Cobourg Police are investigating after a rash of vandalism took place over the weekend.

A home, commercial property, hydro pole, mailbox and even a church were just some of the places that were spray painted with orange paint sometime late Saturday night or the morning of Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the area of Chapel, Division, James and John Streets.

The word “Ghost” and “NDM are believed what was spray painted on some of the properties.

On Chapel Street, a side entrance to Trinity Church was spray painted.

At a residence on the corner of Division and James Street, the word “Drug House” has been spray painted with a arrow pointing east.

Someone had tried to removed the paint on the east side of the Masonic Lodge on the east side but it was similar to “Welcome to J and J.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Cobourg Police at 905-372-6821.
