Peterborough County OPP Investigating Farming Accident

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to a farming accident on Asphodel 7th Line this afternoon at approximately 4:00pm. 

The victim was travelling on a tractor when they were struck by a falling tree. The tractor remained in motion until it entered the ditch. The victim was transported to a local h ospital with life-threatening injuries.

Asphodel 7th Line is currently closed between Center Line and County Road 2 while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene.
