The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit has provided Today’s Northumberland with statistics regarding the COVID-19 vaccinations given at clinic locations in Northumberland County.
Below is a breakdown of doses given in Cobourg and Campbellford in recent weeks. Anne Marie Holt, the Health Unit’s Director of Health Protection, provided the information.
There is a reduction in vaccines provided at the CCC from when it was led by Northumberland Hills Hospital/Family Health Team compared to when the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPRDHU) took over operations.
This reduction coincided with a significant drop of around 1,500 doses each week in the supply of vaccine provided by the Province to the HKPRDHU region.
As a result, HKPRDHU couldn’t offer as many vaccines at the CCC clinic site.
As more vaccine deliveries have increased in April, HKPRDHU has ramped appointments at all its mass immunization clinic sites to start offering more vaccines to eligible residents.
Approximately 30,000 clinic appointments have since been made available in the provincial vaccine booking system for HKPRDHU residents.
The statistics on COVID-19 vaccinations at the clinic sites in Cobourg and Campbellford do not tell the whole picture.
There are also other COVID-19 vaccinations that HKPRDHU provided to local long-term care homes, retirement homes, and shelters. Between March 16 and March 30, a total of 1,086 doses were provided in these settings.

Doses provided by Northumberland Hills Hospital (at clinics provided at NHH):
Northumberland Hills Hospital, 1,180 doses from February 25th – March 30th
Doses provided by Northumberland Family Health Team and HKPRDHU at Cobourg Community Centre:
Northumberland Family Health Team – Cobourg Community Centre = 2,059 doses from March 16 – March 24
HKPRDHU – Cobourg Community Centre = 370 doses from March 25-31
Doses provided by Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Trent Hills Family Health Team, and HKPRDHU:
Campbellford Memorial Hospital = 345 doses from March 5th – March 30th
Trent Hills Family Health Team = 355 doses from March 22nd – March 31st
HKPR – Trent Hills Emergency Services Base = no doses to date (Clinic Starts April 9)
