Peterborough County OPP – OPP Looking for Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspects

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to The Carriage Inn at approximately 9:30pm last night to investigate a robbery.


At approximately 9:00pm the 26 year old victim was at Tim Horton’s Restaurant located at 949 Highway 7 East when he was approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect threatened the victim but the victim was able to return to their vehicle and leave the area.


The victim attended The Carriage Inn and was approached again by the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect struck the victim with a hammer and a physical altercation ensued. Two additional suspects attended the parking lot and continued to assault the victim. The suspects fled in a pickup truck after stealing cash from the victim’s wallet. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.


The suspects are described as:
• Male, white, approximately 25-28 years old, 6′-6’2″, 220-240lbs, with dark, short hair


• Male, white, approximately 50 years old, 6′-6’2″, 280-300 lbs, with dark, short hair


• Male, white, 6′, 160-180lbs with short, unkempt hair


Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to a suspect(s) in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips to the Peterborough County OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
