Seven Vehicles Damaged In Collision at No Frills in Cobourg

Miraculously no one was injured after seven vehicles were damaged in No Frills parking lot in Cobourg on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

At approximately 10:20 a.m. emergency services responded to the parking lot located at 500 Division Street in Cobourg.

A vehicle that was backing out of a spot near the entrance to No Frills struck several cars coming to a stop after colliding heavily with one vehicle.

Douglas Burns was by his vehicle when the car beside him accelerated out of the spot and did a 180 degree turn in the parking lot.

“I just saw a car that was out of control. He came whizzing by me going forward and backward then crashed into me (vehicle).”

Burns said he was shocked to witness the incident but grateful no one was injured.

“It was a close call.”

There are no charged from the incident as it occurred on private property.
