Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Impaired Driving

On December 27th, 2020, at 11:01 PM Police conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle that was travelling in an erratic manner in the in the West end of Cobourg, ON.
Police investigation led officers to arrest the driver for operation while impaired. As a result, 36-year-old Cobourg resident, Sadie MININNI, was charged with the following offences:

Operation while impaired – alcohol, contrary to section 320.14 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Operation while impaired – Concentration of Alcohol (over 80mg) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

The accused was released from custody on an appearance notice with a future court date.

Cobourg Police encourage the public to report suspected impaired driving by calling 911. Impaired driving is the #1 criminal cause of death in Canada and, yet, every impaired driving crash is preventable. By calling 911 and reporting suspected impaired drivers to police, everyone can play a role in keeping our roads and waterways safe and in reducing impaired driving crashes, deaths and injuries.
