Northumberland OPP Investigating Structure Fire in Hamilton Township

On Sunday December 13, 2020, at approximately 6:45 pm, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a structure fire on Sunset Drive located north of Cobourg.

Hamilton Township fire department were on scene when police arrived at the confirmed structure fire. The blaze was contained to a detached garage that stored three vehicles.

The Northumberland OPP Major Crime Unit in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Members of the OPP along with investigators with the Fire Marshal’s office completed their on-site investigation on Tuesday, December 16, 2020
