A sign on the door of the Tim Hortons in Colborne is causing many rumours in the community.

Several people contacted Today’s Northumberland on Monday, November 30, 2020 after discovering the Tim Hortons on Big Apple Drive in Colborne was closed.

It’s unknown when on Monday the store closed.

A sign on the door states:

Dear Guests,
Our restaurant is temporarily closed due to the evolving health situation.
Please visit the closest Tim Hortons located at 970 Division Street Cobourg.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Thank you
Tim Hortons

Even on Google maps it stated the business was “temporarily closed.”

Today’s Northumberland reached out to Tim Hortons communications and the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit on Monday evening, but received no reply.

An update will be given as soon as we are contacted.
