Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Assault

A woman has been arrested for assault after a domestic dispute.

On November 12, at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the north end of Cobourg, which resulted in a family member receiving minor injuries.
As a result of the police investigation, a woman is charged with:

1. Assault contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code

2. Assault with a weapon contrary to Section 267 of the Criminal Code

3. Uttering threats contrary to Section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

The woman was released with a future court date. The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
