(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Saturday October 24, 2020, at just before 5:00 pm, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Northumberland Paramedics and Cramahe Township Fire Department, responded to a report of a collision involving two All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) on County Road 21 just east of County Road 25.

Two ATVs towing utility trailers full of wood were travelling on County Road 21 when they flipped over into the north side ditch. One of the drivers was trapped and had to be extricated with the help of all emergency services who first removed the wood from the trailer, then lifted the trailer.  They then removed the ATV which was on top of the 27-year-old.  Both riders were transported by paramedics to a local area hospital.

Jason KING (age 50) of Alnwick-Haldimand Township was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other 27-year-old rider from Cobourg, Ontario remains in hospital with unknown injuries.

Traffic is being turned around just west of the collision site on County Road 21 while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene.

The circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.
