RIDE Program Starts in Cobourg

In Police Blotter

It’s all about Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere.

Cobourg Police held their first RIDE of the season on Friday, October 9, 2020.

The four officers set up in a variety of locations including Elgin Street East at Brook Road North on Friday evening.

For those people that may think if you avoid a RIDE by turning around and driving the opposite way police won’t pull you over – you’re wrong.

Several times during the course of the evening a number of vehicles were pulled over after avoiding the RIDE program.
