Northumberland Hills Hospital Auxiliary honoured Elizabeth Parkin and Carol Lawrence for their amazing achievement of volunteering at the hospital for 50 years.

When they began volunteering in 1970 at the old Cobourg Hospital on D’Arcy Street both had careers but found the time to volunteer at night or on the weekends.

For over 95 years the Auxiliary has been helping to deliver quality health care in west Northumberland.

Elizabeth and Carol’s dedication, passion and commitment played an important role in making the Northumberland Hills Hospital Auxiliary a valued community asset.
