The Ale House Puts People To The Test With A Hot Wing Challenge in Cobourg

In Local

The Ale House in Cobourg presented a “Hot Wing Challenge” on Friday, September 4, 2020.

With five contestants taking the challenge to see who could eat the hot wings the fastest walked away the winner in the first annual event.

Owner of The Ale House, Todd Oberholtzer walked down from the restaurant to King Street as the contestants were sitting at a table.

With the wings called, “WTFWIT” you knew they had to be hot. And as Shawn Savoy gave the start signal the contestants to their first bites – then immediately got a taste of how hot the wings were.

After a very short time, the first contestant tapped out with barely a nibble taken out of the wings.

The winner of the contest was Tyler Decoste from Trenton who described the wings as, “very flavourful, but in sanely hot.”

“They were the hottest wings I’ve ever put in my mouth.”

The event was also a fundraiser for the Food for All Northumberland.
