In Police Blotter

It`s unconfirmed if it is the same person, but a person matching the same name as the suspect charged with attempted murder of a Whitby woman actually made a donation to the GoFundMe account in honour of the victim.

The 50-year-old woman was reported missing on July 28, 2020 after she had gone for a evening walk. The next day officers found the woman with multiple life threatening injuries.

Naomi McBride and Cory Acosta started a GoFundMe account which so far has raised over $100,000.

It`s unknown if it is the same individual as the 21-year-old facing multiple charges including attempted murder.
