Fun Times At Victoria Park Splashpad for Father and Son

In Community, Local

A father and his young son had a great time on Friday, July 10, 2020 playing in the Splashpad in Victoria Park.

For the first time this summer, the Splashpad was opened, but with strict conditions due to COVID-19.

Up to 10 people only are allowed in the Splashpad which is surrounded by fence. Visitors must answer a number of questions before going in.

“It’s wonderful,” said proud father Carlos while taking a short break from playing with his one-year-old son Freddie.

“It’s good to be cooling off, it’s so hot out.”

During the morning there were 16 visitors that took part playing in the Splashpad before noon.

It was closed until 1 p.m. while staff disinfected the area thoroughly.

Then, it was back to the fun for people waiting to cool off from the blistering heat.
