Port Hope Police – Mischief/s Reported Around Port Hope

On the 5th of July 2020 shortly after 7:00 am Port Hope Police Officers were called to a south end residence after the owner noted damage done to a community library box.

The box contained books and are popular in the area for people to “take one and or leave one.” The library box was knocked over and the door and plexiglass front was damage. It is believed the mischief occurred over night the 4/5 July.

On July 7 th shortly after 2:00 PM Port Hope Police were called to a north end residence after the owner of a BWM noted his vehicle had been scratched. The incident is believed to have occurred down town at the municipal lot located on Cavan St. The vehicle was parked there earlier and during that time someone scratched the door.

On the 8 th of July at noon Port Hope Police attended a North End residence after the owner of a Mazda 3 noted a dent in the door of the vehicle. It appears that overnight someone kicked the door of the vehicle as it was parked in the driveway denting it. Police located a partial dusty foot print on the door.
