Open Air Burning Risk level at Extreme. Small Campfires Only

Brighton Fire Chief, Rick Caddick has raised the current level of Fire Risk to Extreme for the Municipality.

With the current Extreme Heat and Dry conditions, the conditions are favorable for rapid fire spread.

The Municipality of Brighton will only allow small camp- fires to be held at this time. We want to remind everyone that they must obtain an OpenAir Burning Permit on – line at “Brighton.burnpermits.com” before any burning commences.

Those starting a fire must remain with it and have a suitable means to extinguish it should it grow out of control.

Please also be mindful of the current COVID 19 restrictions for gatherings.
