Cobourg Police – Female Arrested for Break and Enter and Robbery

On Friday June 26th, 2020 at approximately 1:16 pm, members of the Cobourg Police Service responded to a reported disturbance at a north end residence.

Upon arrival Police spoke with the victim who advised that a female had broken into her residence, damaged property, assaulted her and then fled with stolen property.

Through Police investigation the female suspect was identified and soon after located by Police.

She was arrested and transported to Cobourg Police Service where she was held for a bail hearing.

Charged with the following is 31-year-old Megan DIMINIE of Cobourg:

1. Break and enter, dwelling house, contrary to section 381(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

2. Robbery with violence, contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

DIMINIE is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing Saturday morning.
