City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Person Charged with Threats at Boat Launch

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – A resident faces a Criminal Code related charge after an altercation at a boat launch on the weekend.

On June 5, 2020 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a boat launch area on Frank Hill Road in response to allegations of threats made.

The investigation indicated that a resident had threatened to damage the vehicle of a person fishing at the boat launch. As a result, Tammy Murray, 46 yea rs of age, was arrested and charged with uttering threats – damage property.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 13, 2020.
