Cobourg Police Service Opens Online Bicycle Registration

Register your bike online

The Cobourg Police Service has launched an online bicycle registration program to help protect bicycles owned by residents of Cobourg. This program will increase the chances of having your bike returned to you if it is stolen or lost.

“We currently have over 65 bikes in our possession that we are unable to return to their rightful owners,” says Chief Paul VandeGraaf, Cobourg Police Service. “Registering your bike will greatly increase your chances of having your bicycle returned to you if it is lost or stolen. We hope the online registry will make it easy and convenient for bike owners to register their bikes from anywhere at any time.”

To register your bike, please visit our website at cobourgpoliceservice.com and click on the Bike Registry button on the homepage.

Bike owners will need to provide information about the bike and ownership, including:
• Brand

• Make and model

• serial number

• Owner name and contact information

Bike owners can also include photos and add more than one bicycle at the same time. Once a bike is registered, the owner can pick up a sticker from the Cobourg Police Service at 107 King Street when the station is back open. In-person bike registration will be available when it is safer to do so.

For more information or to register your bike, please visit cobourgpoliceservice.com.
