Peterborough County OPP – Fatal Motorcycle Collision

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews attended a collision which occurred on May 16, 2020 at approximately 2:45pm on Northey’s Bay Road.

A motorcycle was travelling on Northey’s Bay Road when the driver failed to negotiate a turn resulting in a collision. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver was pronounced deceased at hospital.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation and the identification of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin are notified.

The deceased has been identified as Maury MCCRILLIS (age 32 years) of Peterborough, Ontario.
