Cobourg Police – Male Arrested on Warrant

On Thursday the 30th day of April 2020, at approximately 11:00 am, a male currently sought by the Cobourg Police Service on the strength of an outstanding arrest warrant was located in the Town of Lindsay.

As a result, 40-year-old Catalin BORCOI of the City of Toronto was arrested and charged with;

• Theft of a Credit Card Contrary to Section 342(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

• Possession of a Credit Card – knowing the card was obtained by the Commission of a Criminal Act Contrary to Section 342(1)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada

• Use of Credit Card knowing the card was obtained by the Commission of a Criminal Act Contrary to Section 342(1) (c) of the Criminal Code of Canada x14

• Unauthorized Use Credit Card Data Contrary to Section 342(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada x14

• Fraud Under $5,000.00 Contrary to Section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada x14

BORCOI was held in custody scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on the 1st day of May 2020 for a bail hearing.
