“Bark Bark Open The Park” Protesters Demand in Front of Victoria Hall

In Local

The protests in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg continued on Monday, April 27, 2020.

Todd Noel could be called a regular as he is often seen in front of Victoria Hall sometimes with a sign stating “Trudeau Is A Traitor.”

Noel was out with approximately 15 other protesters from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Victoria Hall with signs.

“We’ve started networking and we’re getting to know people in the area that feel the same way we do.”

The message of the group is to get all levels of government to re-open.

‘If Walmart can be open for goodness sakes there is no reason you can’t take your dog down to the park.”

“We just need to reopen with controlled measures, there is no reason we can’t open our parks, our green spaces, the beaches and ultimately small businesses.”

“If large business can operate, there is no absolutely no reason that you shouldn’t be able to go to downtown Cobourg.”

Police were aware of the protests but didn’t intervene.
