Northumberland OPP – Missing Woman Found Deceased

(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 6, 2020 at approximately 7:00 pm, 82 year-old Christina ZUPANC was located deceased in the water near Burnt Point Bay not far from the shore line of Nappan Island in the Municipality of Trent Hills, Ontario.

On March 31, 2020 members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began a search for Zupanc that was last seen on West Court Road near Sandy Bay Road in Roseneath.

Zupanc was last seen at approximately 10:30 pm on March 31, 2020.

The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU), Canine Unit and Aviation Unit conducted an exceptional and extensive search.

The Northumberland OPP wish to thank the public for their continued support and ongoing assistance with these types of investigations.
