Tim Hortons Gives Heartfelt Thanks To Frontline Workers

In Community, Local

It’s Tim Hortons way of giving back to those helping us.

A Tim Hortons coffee truck used primarily for community and sporting events has turned altered to stop at various locations throughout Canada and thank those people on the front lines who are helping us in this battle against COVID-19.

“It’s a nice surprise for people who are helping us,” said franchise owner John Meeussen.

“We’ve switched it to delivery mode until this crisis is over as a small gesture of thanks.”

“We bring it right to their door and always keep a safe distance between us and the people who are getting the delivery.”

A heartfelt message goes along with every delivery from Tim Hortons.

The coffee truck makes also makes stops across Canada supporting emergency services, healthcare workers, grocery stores and long term care facilities.

The coffee was brewed fresh from Tim Hortons store on County Road 28 in Port Hope and at 9 a.m. the deliveries started on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 with stops at Hope Street Terrace Long-Time Care Facility, Davis Your Independent Grocer, Pharmasave and Extendicare Long-Term Care Facility.

In some areas people on the street applauded as they saw the van pull into the parking lots.

“It brings a bit of normalcy to those helping us and hopefully a smile to let them know we are there for them.”
