Woman Taken Into Custody By Durham Regional Police At Tim Horton’s Drive-Thru in Port Hope

One woman was taken into custody after being boxed in by Durham Regional Police in Port Hope shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

Durham Police stated to Today’s Northumberland an incident started in the Bowmanville area, which lead them to Port Hope concerning a vehicle.

When the vehicle went through the drive-thru at Tim Horton’s on Ontario Street, Durham Police boxed it in.

Police stated the vehicle collided with both cruisers, but all vehicles sustained minimal damage.

One woman was taken into custody after police broke the passenger side window.

Port Hope Police and a Durham Regional Police helicopter were also on scene.

No word on charges.
