Humane Society Working To Capture Injured Goose Stuck With Fish Hook

In Local, News

Members of the Northumberland Humane Society have been trying for several days to help a injured goose in Port Hope.

Volunteers with the Humane Society have been visiting the area across from the Ruth Clarke Activity Centre on Mill Street South near the Ganaraska River twice a day since they were notified of the injured goose.

The goose appears to have a fishing lure hooked in the lower part of the body near the leg.

Humane Society officials would like to capture the goose and remove the lure before the area becomes infected.
