Northumberland OPP – ATV Rider Charged With Impaired Driving

On Friday January 31, 2020 at approximately 7:30 pm, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) collision on County Road 30 near Allison Street in the village of Codrington.

Justin MCLENNAN (age 34) of Brighton, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The ATV operator was additionally charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and the Off-Road Vehicles Act (ORVA).
The accused was transported to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries then released, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 4, 2020.
