Alnwick/Haldimand Township Mayor Announces Retirement

Grafton, Ontario – The Council of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand wish to inform everyone of Mr. John Logel’s Retirement as Alnwick/Haldimand’s Mayor, effective immediately. John’s decision to retire is for health reasons and he believes this change will benefit both himself and his immediate family.

He stated, “I really enjoyed being part of the Township Council, and I want to thank all my fellow Councillors and the staff for all the support they provided through each of my three terms of Council”.

Council would like to thank John for his dedication over the past three terms and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Deputy Mayor Gail Latchford has accepted the Mayoral position and Councillor Sherry Gibson has accepted the Deputy Mayoral position for the remainder of the term.

The Councillor position will be declared vacant at the Regular Council meeting on Thursday, January 9th, 2020.
