Netflix Series Ginny & Georgia Return for Filming in Cobourg

The Town of Cobourg would like to advise citizens that the production company G2G Series Inc. will return to Cobourg from Saturday, November 23rd until Tuesday, November 26th to film the final episode of season one of the Netflix TV series, Ginny & Georgia.

The series includes 10-episodes for “Ginny & Georgia,” a mother-daughter coming of age series featuring Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howy (“The Passage”) who will play the daughter and mother. “Ginny & Georgia” centres on Ginny Miller, a fifteen-year-old who often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia wants to put down roots in the charming New England town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts and give her family a normal life. For Ginny, that means navigating a prestigious school, rising popularity, and complicated love interests. The new series will stream on Netflix in 2020.

On Saturday, November 23rd, the production company will begin set-up for filming which will take place on Saturday, November 24th and Sunday, November 25th, and will tear down the sets on Tuesday, November 26th and replace all original signage and decorations.
Filming locations include:
· 52 King Street West
· Various locations along King Street West, between Hibernia Street and Division Street
· Bandshell in Victoria Park

Filming Schedule:

Sunday, November 24th
· Inside 92 King Street West from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
· King Street West, between 85 King Street and 74 King Street, from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
· Bandshell in Victoria Park from 5:30 p.m. until 12 a.m.

Monday, November 25th
· King Street West, near 19 King Street West, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
· Third Street, between King Street and Albert Street, and King Street, between Hibernia Street and Albert Street, from approximately 6 p.m. until 12 a.m.

Road closures include:
· Third Street, between King Street and Albert Street, from Monday, November 25th at 1 p.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 7 a.m.
· King Street, between Albert Street and Hibernia Street, from Monday, November 25th at 6 p.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 12:30 a.m.

Film production vehicles will park in assigned areas, including:
· Covert Street Parking Lot — 7 spots from Friday, November 22nd until Tuesday, November 26th at 5 p.m.
· Albert Street Parking Lot — South side of the lot from Saturday, November 24th at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 7 a.m.
· Second Street Parking Lot — North east corner from Saturday, November 24th at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 7 a.m.
· Centennial Pool Parking Lot on Saturday, November 25th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from Sunday, November 26th at 7 a.m. until Monday,

November 25th at 1 p.m.
· McGill Street Parking Lot on Saturday, November 25th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from Sunday, November 26th at 7 a.m. until Monday,

November 25th at 1 p.m.
· Cobourg Marina Lot (Grass Area Only) on Saturday, November 24th at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 7 a.m.
· 12 spots on the north and south side of King Street West, between 91 King Street and 68 King Street, from Sunday, November 24th at 7 a.m. until Tuesday, November 26th at 2 p.m.
· 5 spots on the north side of King Street West, on either side of 52 King Street West, on Sunday, November 24th at 7 a.m. until Tuesday,

November 26th at 1 a.m.
· 8 spots on the west side of Third Street on Sunday, November 24th at 7 a.m. until Monday, November 25th at 11 p.m.
· 11 spots on Second Street on Sunday, November 24th at 7 a.m. until Monday, November 25th at 11 p.m.

Additional Notices:
· There will be fireworks in Victoria Park on Sunday, November 24th between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m.
· The Christmas lights at the Bandshell in Victoria Park will be temporarily turned off on Sunday, November 24th from 5:30 p.m. until 12 a.m.
· The Christmas lights at Victoria Hall may temporarily be switched over to flood lights the evening of Monday, November 25th.

Town staff and the Cobourg Police Services will be working directly with the production company to ensure safety and traffic control. The production company has met with the appropriate Town departments for the review and approval of early morning and evening work. The crew will work quietly and respectfully in accordance of the bylaw to regulate noise within the Town of Cobourg (Bylaw No.011-2011).
