Two Vehicles Removed From Port Hope Harbour

In Local

Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) Project staff have confirmed they’ve removed two vehicles from the harbour last week in regards to the ongoing clean-up.

It’s part of the ongoing clean-up of low level radioactive waste in Port Hope.

The social media post shows a vehicle being lifted out of the water.

There is another “large” object they’ve located at the bottom of the harbour, but are unsure at this point what it is.

Both vehicles were removed last week. Port Hope Police has also been notified of the vehicles being removed and are working to determine the age and history of the vehicles.

Speculation is they may be from the flood of 1980, but that is unconfirmed at this point.
