Cobourg Police – Arrest Warrant/Possession of Schedule 1 Substance/Fail to Comply with Recognizance

On the 12th of October 2019, officers of the Cobourg Police were on general patrol in the area of Division St and Chapel St.
A male known to Police as 30 year old Michael KITCHEN, from Cobourg, was observed and known to be wanted on a Warrant.

KITCHEN was arrested on the strength of the warrant and upon search a quantity of suspected Fentanyl was located on him.

As a result of the police investigation Michael KITCHEN was charged with:
Fail to Attend Court contrary to section 145(2)(a) of the Criminal Code,
Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code,
Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
KITCHEN was held in Custody for a Bail Hearing.
