Burned Hulks Of Vehicles Only Thing That Remains After Arson At Towing Compound

Charred metal is all that remains of several vehicles that were torched early Sunday morning at Chadwick’s Towing Impound Yard at 107 Veronica Street in Cobourg.

Fire crews received the call at approximately 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 and when they arrived on scene, several vehicles and a boat were on fire.

The total loss is estimated at under $100,000.

A report to Today’s Northumberland indicated police are looking for a 2011 green pickup truck that was stolen from the impound lot.  The pickup truck had been stolen previously and was in the compound when it was stolen again.
