Miracle Treat Day At Cobourg DQ

In Local

It was Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the DQ Grill and Chill in Cobourg and other stores across Canada.

All proceeds from the sale of Blizzards went to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

Twenty-two-year-old Sarah Marshall from Cobourg had a stomach, pancreas, liver, and bowel transplant at five-months old and is a strong supporter of the event each year.

“Sarah leads the charges and organizes everything,” said DQ owner Doug MacPherson.

“It wouldn’t be the success it is with out her. She’s a huge part of this day.”

Marshall greeted people as they came in and took charge of the people helping out including MP Kim Rudd and MPP David Piccini.
