Piping the Sun Down is Back in Cobourg for the Summer

In Local

On Sunday evening, July 7, 2019 Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums, piper Ian McFarlane played the Piping The Sun Down on the east pier.

Weather permitting members of the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums will be participating Thursday through to Sunday as the sun sets.

The Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums borrowed the tradition from a pipe band in Kincardine,

As Pipe Major Mary Ito previously said, “to me it is just a reminder to us all not to take our days for granted, we thank the sun for brightening our days and everything it gives us.”
