Durham Police – Fisherman Finds Human Remains in Oshawa

DRPS are investigating after human remains were discovered in a heavily wooded area near the Oshawa Creek.

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., members of Central East Division were called to the area of Taunton Road west of Northbrook Street near the Oshawa Creek after a fisherman located human remains in the densely wooded area. Forensic Investigators have been called to assist and a post mortem will be conducted to determine more details about the deceased.

Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is asked to call D/Cst. Grigoriou of the Central East Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520. ext. 2737.

Anonymous information can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or http://www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
