Press Release

Ontario Government is supporting non-profit organizations in Campbellford to improve community spaces in the province and expand or adapt projects that are already making a difference in the community.

MPP David Piccini announced today that the Campbellford and District Curling and Racquet Club (CDCRC) received a total of $16,000 from the provincial government through the Ontario Trillium Foundation to improve infrastructure for physical activities.
“The Campbellford and District Curling and Racquet Club are delivering initiatives that are already contributing to a strong social and cultural community in Cambellford,” said David Piccini, MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South. “Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, our Government for the People is helping them to expand these initiatives, which means they will benefit even more residents in the region.”

The province’s investment in the CDCRC’s project is expected to bring positive change to over 300 people in the community. The initiatives chosen through the Ontario Trillium Foundation are helping arts, culture and heritage have appropriate spaces to enrich people’s lives and foster more active lifestyles.

“It is encouraging to see the great work of so many non-profit organizations in our province,” said Hon. Michael Tibollo, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “I am delighted that our Government for the People is supporting their valuable projects. Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we are bringing economic, social, environmental, and health benefits to people across Ontario.”
“The Campbellford and District Curling and Raquet Club is thrilled to be receiving this grant from the provincial government,” said Rachel Whitton, Manager CDCRC. “Improvements to the courts are long overdue and will help facilitate growth.”
