Breaking News – Ammonia Leak Closes Cobourg Community Centre

Cobourg Fire Department are still at the scene of an ammonia leak at the Cobourg Community Centre on April 8, 2019.
The call came in shortly after 6 a.m. to the Community Centre after an alarm was sounding in the compressor room of the building.
High levels of ammonia were detected and the staff in the building were evacuated.
Northumberland County Paramedics were on standby for the incident and firefighters have opened a bay door and are using a fog pattern of water to dissipate the ammonia.
The latest update from firefighters is they are still looking for the cause of the leak.
