The Northumberland Nighthawks Minor Midget AA are Ontario Champions!
Defeating the Belle River Canadians in the sixth and final game of the series.
Both teams had won two games each, then tied in Belle River so the final showdown was at the Jack Burger Sports Complex on Sunday, March 31, 2019.
Isaac MacLeod opening the scoring at 9:02 of the first period with an assist by Joseph Mininni.
Joseph Mininni got the second goal at 12:36 of the third period and that’s all the Nighthawks needed to win the OMHA Glen Irwin Minor Midget AA trophy.
Nighthawks goalie, Ty Gadbois got the shutout.
