Ice Jams Attracting Attention In Cobourg

In Local

High water levels along the Cobourg Creek seems to be due to ice jamming on Friday, March 15, 2019.
In the Cobourg Conservation Area east of William Street, and south of Elgin Street a ice jam approximately 30 metres long is causing the creek to take a different route along the shoreline.
At the Cobourg Creek Golf Course, an ice jam by the ninth hole bridge is causing water to be backed up.
At this point, the GRCA has not issued any advisories.
